Arsenal travel to Vicarage Road on matchday 33 of the Premier League

Arsenal will once again be on the road in the Premier League, this time to Watford. The last time the two sides met Watford overcame a 1-0 deficit to win the game 2-1. The Gunners were accused of lacking ‘cojones’ by Troy Deeney after converting a penalty which was controversially awarded against them and it proved to be prophetic as Arsenal suffered a dreadful form away from home last season and could only secure their first away points on the final matchday in a 1-0 win over Huddersfield.

The North London outfit have been better this season but have endured a stuttering form on the road - managing just 19 points from 15 games. Arsenal look favourites to finish in the top 4 but need a drastic improvement in their away form if they are to cement that position and guarantee Champions League football.
Watford, on the other hand, will be buoyed by their win over Wolves in the FA Cup semi-final and be raring to go against Arsenal at home.

Jose Holebas (hamstring), Tom Cleverley (calf) and Domingos Quina (shoulder) are out with injuries for Watford. Isaac Success, Kiko Femenia and Adalberto Penaranda are all 50/50 for the game.

For Arsenal, Sokratis will be suspended for the match after the defender picked up his 10th booking of the season against Everton. Granit Xhaka suffered a groin injury and will be assessed ahead of the match.

Watford (4-4-2):

Foster; Janmaat, Mariappa, Cathcart, Masina; Doucoure, Capoue Hughes, Pereyra; Deeney, Deulofeu

Arsenal (3-4-1-2):

Leno; Mustafi, Koscielny, Monreal; Maitland-Niles, Ramsey, Torreira; Kolasinac; Ozil; Lacazette, Aubameyang

SCORE PREDICTION: Watford 1-3 Arsenal

Arsenal will welcome back Laurent Koscielny and Lucas Torreira into the side after both missed out against Everton with injury and suspension respectively. Their return will provide the Gunners with additional steel in defence and Watford might just find it too much to cope with the attacking trio of Ozil, Lacazette and Aubameyang.
