Barcelona host Lyon at the Camp Nou in the second leg of the round of 16 in Champions League
Kick-off: 9 PM CET (1:30 am IST, 14th March)
Venue: Camp Nou
On course for their third historic treble this season, FC Barcelona hosts Lyon at the Nou Camp in the return leg of the Round of 16 tie after the fiery first leg ended in 0-0 draw. The mighty Catalans will have to be on their toes against a young Lyon side that would be poised to make a mark in this competition by causing an upset of their own after a string of upsets last week in the Champions League.
The Catalans are absolutely desperate for the Champions League this season after massively underperforming in the Champions League since they last won it in 2015, succumbing to three quarter-final defeats since. They have a chance to put that all behind and more, by getting a positive result on Wednesday after a goalless draw in Lyon.
Lyon, on the other hand, has struggled in Europe in recent years. After reaching the semifinals way back in 2009-10, Lyon have only managed to reach the knockout stages of the champions league once. Lyon find themselves in a very good position coming into this leg after stopping Barcelona from scoring the all-important away goal. The French side has a young core, which is quick and decisive on the break.
An away goal from Lyon would mean Barcelona will have to score two. An early lead from Lyon could spell trouble for Barcelona if the recent results in the Champions league are anything to go by.
HEAD TO HEAD:
The two teams have played 7 games between them so far, with the Catalans winning 4 and the rest finishing on level terms.
Thomas Vermaelen is still nursing an injury, while Rafinha is out with an ACL injury. The main concern for the Catalans, however, will be the hamstring troubles for Dembele. The Frenchman is doubtful for the clash tomorrow, which could be a big blow for Barcelona as Coutinho is yet to find his feet with the Catalans.
Marcelo remains doubtful for the return leg after he picked up an injury on Saturday, but the French side will have their talisman Nabil Fekir back, who returns after serving his suspension in the first leg.
RECENT FORM (All comps):

We can expect a Barcelona victory who are heavy favourites for this tie, but the Lyon side will make it very difficult for them.
