La Liga Champions Barcelona host Getafe of matchday 37
The champions do not have anything to play for in La Liga, but they’ll be looking to make a statement by returning to winning ways before the Copa Del Rey final against Valencia. While Getafe have a lot at stake coming into this penultimate La Liga game. The capital-based side has had a phenomenal season and currently sit 4th in the league table. Looking to secure European qualification first time in their history, Getafe sit just 3 points above Valencia.
The injuries luck seems to have caught up with the Catalan side, just like their season has. Since their first leg win against Liverpool, Barcelona have lost 3 of its prominent players to injury. Ousmane Dembele pulled up with another hamstring injury before the second leg and will continue to be absent from the team sheet. Luis Suarez is out for the season with a knee surgery while Arthur Melo has been ruled out for the game against Getafe with pelvis discomfort. Rafinha is yet to recover to full fitness. Suarez is rumoured to be out for the season after tearing his meniscus against Liverpool.
The Madrid side will be without their talisman and joint-top scorer Jaime Mata as he misses out on this crucial game through suspension after picking up a yellow card against Girona. Along with him, Bruno Gonzalez also misses out due to suspension.
